How To Get Lip Symmetry Like A-List Celebs

I ask patients with virgin lips to plan for 2 syringes 💉 of lip fillers because the first syringe provides a foundation that gives the lip volume and projection, while the second syringe is fine-tuning; correcting asymmetry, shaping the lips, and defining borders. It’s rare that you would need as much filler at the time of your yearly touch-up appointment. Lip symmetry is often times something that many injectors overlook. Does Myrha Offer Half Syringes to Correct Asymmetry?
If you only need half of a syringe for your touch-up treatment then I’m happy to oblige, but you would still need to pay for a full syringe. Many patients ask if we are able to save their syringe for their following appointment. Unfortunately, we can’t do this for health reasons. After a sterile syringe is opened and inserted into the skin, it must be used in the same sitting because bacteria begins to grow on the syringe. Using that syringe on a patient at a later time could lead to an infection. At Myrha Beauty, the health of our patients is our #1 priority. I can certainly appreciate your desire to stretch those 💰coins as far as possible, but your safety is more important to us. Lip injections are a medical procedure and must be treated with the utmost appreciation for the health of the patient.
Can My Lips Lose Symmetry As the Filler Dissolves?
This is rare when you go to a good injector 😉, however it is possible. Various daily habits and factors can disproportionately affect the rate at which our lips begin to absorb filler over time, i.e. which side of the mouth we tend to use to suck straws, oral sex, lip biting, exercise, etc. If you naturally have a smaller upper lip on the left side, but also tend to use that side to suck out of a straw, then the left side may dissolve slightly quicker than the right. I’m not advising you to alter your life or eating habits, just be conscious of it and try to balance out the scales when you remember. There is no science to perfect lip symmetry, but there is good technique 💉 and self-awareness that will contribute to the longevity of your perfectly balanced pout 💋. How Often Should I Get Lip Injections to Maintain Symmetry?
Lip fillers last 6-12 months and sometimes longer depending on the patient, but most patients will need a little touch-up to maintain symmetry every 6 months IF they have asymmetrical lips to begin with. In many cases, asymmetry isn’t that noticeable, so I wouldn’t freak out about it. Like any aesthetic procedure, fillers require patience and fine-tuning.
